Initial Challenges

When we began working with Camelback Spine on 7 May 2025, their website was facing a mix of technical, structural, and SEO related issues that limited its online visibility. These issues limited its ability to rank locally and attract new patients. Our detailed site audit revealed the following challenges:

  1. Duplicate MetadataMore than 165 pages contained duplicate or missing meta titles and meta descriptions. As a result, the site is struggled to target unique search queries effectively, and its click-through rates were suffered because multiple pages were competing for the same terms without offering unique value.
  2. Technical ErrorsThe website contained 100+ broken internal links, broken internal images and multiple 404/403 pages. In addition, canonical tags were missing causing duplicate versions of the homepage and other key pages to be indexed by Google. To make matters worse, index.php errors and inconsistent www vs non-www redirects created further confusion for crawlers and weakened site authority.
  3. Content WeaknessesSeveral important page- including homepage, main services pages, newsletters had poor keyword optimization, thin content or structural issues. Some pages had low word count or duplicate content, while others lacked H1 heading or multiple H1 and H2 headings, making it header for search engine to understand page relevance and also affecting user experience.
  4. No Structured DataThe site had no schema markup in lace for the organization, FAQs, or local business. Without structured data, Camelback Spine was missing out an eligibility for rich results, reducing its chances of standing out in Google SERP's for important service and provider-related queries.
  5. Local SEO GapsFor a local healthcare provider with multiple locations, Camelback Spine Care site's showed clear gap in local SEO. Provider details were not fully optimized, and no-location-specific pages or content to strengthen local visibility. This made it difficult for the clinic to rank for high-intent local searches like "spine surgeon in Phoenix".
  6. Crawlability IssuesCrawlability was another major barrier. A missing sitemap and lack of robots.txt reference made it difficult for search engines to index key pages. Several URLs used underscores instead of hyphens and parametrized newsletter links caused indexing bloat.
Impact:

Together, these issues held back Camelback Spine Care from ranking for high-intent keywords in the Phoenix and Peoria regions. They reduced organic impressions and left the site with a weak technical foundation. While branded searches drove some traffic. the site struggled to compete for non-branded, service-related and local-aptient focused terms— the most valuable queries for long-term growth.
