First game: Crazy Eights
How it plays
- The aim. Get rid of your cards. Cards left in your hand at the end of a round count against you. Lowest total when someone reaches 100 wins the match.
- The deal. Eight cards each. The rest form the draw pile, and one card is turned up to start the play pile.
- Your turn. Play a card that matches the top card by suit or rank. If nothing fits, draw from the pile. After five draws with no match, your turn passes.
- Eights are wild. An eight goes on anything, and you choose the suit the next card must follow.
- Scoring. Ace 1, number cards face value, jack 11, queen 12, king 13. Totals carry over from round to round.
